Our Story
Equipping adventure-seekers for over 90 years.
It started with $500 and a dream.
With an investment of $500.00, our grandfather, George Adamec, purchased a Harley-Davidson dealership in 1931.
An enthusiast and racer himself, George was only 21 when he decided to devote his life to sharing the joy of cycling with others. We share that mission today.
The Adamec Group has been in Jacksonville since 1962, when George relocated his family here from New Jersey. North Florida has become our home, and we are here to stay.
Our goal is to be here another 90 years, giving back to our military personnel and first responders, and providing the equipment adventure-seekers need to enjoy our beautiful city and the land and sea beyond.

Carrying on the legacy.
Today, George’s two grandsons, Mark and Chris Adamec, continue to run the family business.
Their children, Alec, Craegan, and Ariel, are becoming increasingly involved and carrying on George’s legacy for a fourth generation.
As a continuation of our commitment to fun and adventure, Alec pioneered and leads Adamec Marine, where we match customers with the watercraft that best equips them to explore all that’s out there.

Supporting our community
The Adamec Group is a proud part of the North Florida community, and we do everything we can to support local charities and encourage camaraderie among fellow riders and boaters.
Each year, we sponsor Hometown Hero’s Ride, a charity ride to benefit local families of military personnel, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. Through Hope for Hero’s, we have supported projects through Builders Care and helped to provide scholarships for veterans suffering from PTSD to receive services through HorsePlay, a local equestrian therapy center.
Our family of businesses has also sponsored and taken part in charity rides to benefit the Police Athletic League, Pink Unity League, Ride out of Darkness for the prevention of suicide, Mad Dads to raise awareness about homicide, and to promote female ridership.
